We made a little trip "out east" two weekends ago. Now you might be wondering how we can get any more east than this, but it is possible...we went clear to the ocean! It was Patrick's first time at the Atlantic and he didn't seem to impressed. He enjoyed the sand and shells, but the waves were a bit much. First we drove to Raleigh so Keri could see the capitol building and grounds and add another capitol to her scrapbook. Then we drove to the Wright Brothers National Memorial in Kill Devil Hills, NC and spent the rest of the day at the beach. We decided to make the 7 hour drive back to Waxhaw that night...not too bad after driving nearly 30 to get here!

Poor, poor Patrick, left all alone at the beach. It's time to come live with Tom and Kelly where the weather is mild, and you will never be left alone again until you become a teenager.
