Memorial Day Weekend

We spent Saturday of this particular weekend moaning about having nothing to do and nowhere to go. Then we got the bright idea to go on another exploration of North Carolina. So, we found the only campground in the whole state with a site left for this camping-holiday weekend and went there on Sunday. The NC Zoological Center is 2 hours from our apartment, and the campground we found is across the street from the zoo. Perfect! What was even better is that since we are MN Zoo members, we could get into this zoo for free--we went on Sunday and Monday! It was a nice easy way to be the boredom and visit Asheboro, NC.

It's like looking in a mirror!

We went all that way to the zoo and guess what we saw the most of?? Geese! We can see geese anywhere--including our own parking lot, but Patrick sure enjoyed them.

On day 2, after two full days of exploring and camping, Patrick finally had had enough. We didn't think it could be done, but Jason we exhausted the little guy! Of course, by Tuesday he was back up to speed--it's taken us all week to recover!
